"Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" is the next instalment in the mega successful "Call of Duty" franchise which has seen sales of over $10 billion since its launch in 2003.

The latest version will see Kevin Spacey playing the role of Jonathan Irons, the villain in the game.

As for the game itself, it was launched on Nov. 3. But before the release was made, leaks hinted that the game would be in Zombie Mode and that a DNA Bomb was available. News of the Zombie Mode first came up on Reddit where a video showed zombies being killed by machine guns. However, those videos and several others reporting the leak have since been taken down by Activision.

Since news of the Zombie Mode leaked, Forbes reported that it would only be available as DLC and would be included as part of the $50 season pass. This is surprising and could turn away many gamers, according to Forbes. It noted that entire gameplay modes are starting to be hacked off and sold at roughly the cost of the initial game.

In an update to this initial information, Forbes noted that the DLC would only become available next year at additional cost, and that it has not been chopped off from the core game "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare."

Additionally just before the game was made available, a live action trailer was released. Filmed from the first person perspective, it stars Taylor Kitsch. The trailer was directed by Peter Berg who told Variety that, "We wanted to replicate what you'll see when you play Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare."

He added that Activision wanted the trailer to "accurately portray what was in the game while promoting the intensity of the action and overall swagger of its characters."

Activision has previously enlisted A-list stars such as Robert Downey Jr., Jonah Hill, Megan Fox and Sam Worthington to star in the Call of Duty trailers. It handed over directing duty to the likes of James Mangold and Guy Ritchie.
