The next downloadable content for "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare," titled "Ascendance," will be released on April 30 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC. The game's latest DLC rolled out last March for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Announcing the release recently, game-maker Activision said it previously decided to initially release the game's DLC for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 only because the company has an exclusivity agreement with Microsoft.

The release of "Ascendance" follows the release of "Havoc." Two more packs for the game are due to launch later this year. They are titled "Supremacy" and "Reckoning."

Included in the upcoming DLC are four new multiplayer maps named "Perplex," "Chop Shop," "Site 244" and "Climate." Each of them will be based on a specific location. "Perplex," for instance, will feature a modular apartment complex in Sydney. "Chop Shop" will put players through a black market industrial complex as they race to gain control of an electronagnetic pulse weapon in a turret.

As for the other two maps, "Site 244" involves the exploration of the wreck of an alien ship that crashed near Mount Rushmore. "Climate" allows players to explore and fight in a climate-controlled enclosure.

Another element included in the "Ascendance" DLC is "Exo Zombies Chapter Two." Describing it, Activision said action in the chapter centers around Burgertown where players will get to fight zombies with traps and armaments.

New arms are introduced in the game, including an OHM gun that is a hybrid between a machine gun and a shot gun. There is also the "Exo Grapple" playlist. Players will able to use it as a weapon or when they need to reach vantage points faster.

Those who bought the $50 Advanced Warfare DLC pass will be getting the DLC when it is launched. Those who did not buy the pass can purchase the DLC for $15.
