'Call of Duty 2016' release date, plot rumors: New game will be called 'Infinite Warfare?'

"Call of Duty 2016" is one of the most anticipated games to come out this year. It is also one of the most talked about sequels and it has been surrounded by numerous rumors and speculations ever since the start of the year. With its release coming to a close, new rumors suggest that the next installment of the first-person shooter video game series will be titled "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare."
According to a report by IGN, the title can be found at the top of the trending category on the PlayStation Store on PS4. The sequel, which is said to have some sort of futuristic setting, fits just right to the rumored game title.
Meanwhile, popular game critic, Jim Sterling, posted on his Twitter account that the game will come out on Tuesday next week.
"The next Call of Duty will apparently get unveiled by next Tuesday. Getting listed in retailers at any rate," sterling wrote.
Although Sterling's social media post receives several criticisms from other users, many fans welcomed the new leaked information with excitement.
Activision has already announced their intention to reveal the next "Call of Duty" by showing gameplay footage at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016.
"In June, we're going to be at E3 showcasing gameplay from Infinity Ward's ambitious new game," Activision wrote on its blog. "We're looking forward to sharing exciting new details about the next great "Call of Duty" game in partnership with our friends at PlayStation. We're proud to be participating in this premier video game event, but won't have an Activision booth on the show floor."
These latest developments are definitely giving millions of "Call of Duty" fans all over the world something to get excited about. Despite contradicting reports of its plot and game settings, this latest news has given players a clear understanding that the game will certainly be released this year.
