Captain "CJ" (guest star Ken Marino) successfully solves an important case in the upcoming episode of Fox's cop comedy "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4.

Titled "The Overmining," next week's episode will see a conflict arise in the Nine-Nine. According to the official synopsis, Captain "CJ" is dealing with complications with a huge case, so Jake (Andy Samberg) and Holt (Andre Braugher) team up to help him out. Meanwhile, inside the precinct, a conflict begins to escalate when Terry (Terry Crews) enforces a green initiative in the department and tells Gina (Chelsea Peretti) to throw away her beloved space heater. Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) and Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio), on the other hand, takes a break from the night shift and ends up dropping by a foot massage parlor.

On another note, the squad from the Nine-Nine will introduce an NFL player as a guest star in an upcoming episode of season 4. As noted by reports, Marshawn Lynch, the recently-retired Seattle Seahawks running back known as "Beast Mode," will join the series for a guesting stint. His episode will be the winter finale airing Sunday, Jan. 1. Lynch plays the role of a witness to the escape of several convicts from a police van in New York. He will then be brought into the precinct to give a statement on the incident. However, considering Lynch's past with giving statements to the media, it might be a bit difficult.

Aside from winning a Super Bowl with the Seahawks during the 2013-2014 season, Lynch is best known for his curious behavior on and off the field. After announcing his love for Applebee's, the NFL star also found an unexpected cross-promotion opportunity when it was revealed that he likes eating Skittles while in the game.

The fourth season of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4 airs every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
