Brooklyn Nets trade rumors 2016: Brooklyn are now looking positive since arrival of Lin

Lately, it's been extremely tough to be a fan of the Brooklyn Nets.
In the 2015-16 season, the team only finished with a 21-61 record, finishing fourth in the Atlantic Division and out of the race for the NBA Playoffs.
The franchise was expected to be competitive at the very least, but poor decisions with players have resulted in the team dropping out of favor in the East.
However, things are seemingly turning around now, and talks are starting to circulate that excitement is in the air thanks to the arrival of Jeremy Lin.
Coming from the Charlotte Hornets, Lin enters the Nets' franchise in the hopes of being their stable starting point guard, and that alone is enough to get fans excited.
Spending one season with the Hornets, Lin was a bench player, but he still had decent averages as he scored 11.7 points per game, along with 3.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists per night.
Now that he will be the starting point guard for Brooklyn, the expectation is that he will only get better.
Lin's reach does not only extend to the basketball court, but it also reaches well outside the game.
The Harvard University graduate is a good role model who is not afraid to be himself in front of the camera, and his personality is one that might help the Nets franchise.
Despite the fact that Brooklyn is still unlikely to reach the post-season in the coming campaign, these new things to watch out for helps the franchise as it tries to turn things around for the better.
With the arrival of Lin, many are now eager to see how he will do in Brooklyn, and that will definitely increase fanfare that should be important for the franchise to move forward.
The season will likely be a long one, with Lin and the rest of the Nets finding their chemistry, but if the team wants to succeed they should just stick with their players and keep the faith as their starting point guard has shown throughout his career.
