'Bravely Default' news, updates, rumors: 3DS game to have PS4, Xbox One, Wii U version released this year?

Good news is coming to those who are wanting to see the highly popular action role-playing game (ARPG) "Bravely Default" in home video game consoles. In an interview with Square Enix, co-producer Mavashi Takahashi has revealed that the game developer company behind the success of the 3DS exclusives "Bravely Default" and "Bravely Second" is open to have the first of the two-part saga video game to be released in home-based gaming platforms. While it is not known when the proper conversion of the game will begin, it is enough information for now that the classic hand-held game will make a home video game console debut in the future.

The electronic entertainment website Game Informer (via My Nintendo News website) recently asked Takahashi if he and Square Enix are all okay with the idea of having the "Bravely" series be brought into future hardware. A classic hand-held game like the "Bravely" series is a good bet to be released in console version as the game itself is broad enough to be explored using a larger gaming technology. Takahashi did not give a definite answer, but he expressed that he and the company are very much willing to see the "Bravely" series in other platforms apart from Nintendo 3DS.

"Unfortunately, I can't make any official promises, but Bravely Default was the first RPG I worked on since joining Square Enix, and the series has grown very near and dear to my heart. Personally speaking, I'd love to see it happen," Takahashi stated.

"I'd also like to offer my heartfelt thanks to all of you around the world who have played and loved the Bravely series. For me, there is no greater happiness than to be able to join with you to make the world of games even more fun," he added to address the warm reception of the fans to "Bravely Default" and "Bravely Second."

"Bravely Default" is set in the fictional world of Luxendarc which is being balanced by the four powerful elemental crystals under the protection of the religious group Crystal Orthodoxy. The main characters of the game, AgnÃ¨s Oblige, Ringabel,Tiz Arrior and Edea Lee must set out in a journey to protect the crystals and awaken them to use their powers against evil.
