'Bones' season 12 spoilers news: EP hints ending to be written from a fan's perspective, assures closure for viewers

"Bones" is currently in the last few episodes of season 11, and unfortunately for fans, the Jeffersonian team will bid farewell after season 12.
The hit comedic procedural series will finally come to a close after 12 years of airing, and as early as now, showrunner executive producer Michael Peterson confirmed that they already have plans for the show's potential ending. As the final season nears, Petersen admits that it is bittersweet for all of them who were a part of the show since day one. "We're just kind of embracing it," he told Zap2it. "It's been fun, the studio has been really supportive of us. Looking at Season 12, we're just saying, 'Make this an event. Make this something where every episode really counts.'"
The EP also explained that fans need not worry because the storyline will be written just how they imagined, and there will be closure for everyone. "We're writing it very much from the fans perspective. We're going to put you through a rollercoaster ride, but do trust these are fans writing for the show. We'll put you through a lot, but we'll come out in a very good place," he added. As of this writing, the network has yet to announce a definitive premiere date for season 12, but it is expected to air later this year or early 2017.
For the upcoming episode "The Siff in the Cliff," the Jeffersonian team will investigate on a high profile case involving a billionaire explorer's death. The dead body was found in Antartica after 10 years, and the team was able to prove that he did not die of natural causes. Dr. Clark Edison was with the victim during the expedition, putting him on the shortlist of suspects. Will the team be able to prove his innocence?
Find out in "Bones" season 11 which airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
