'Bones' season 11 spoilers: Team investigates murder over diamond, Booth gets new look, Aubrey tracks down jewel thief
Fox's crime procedural drama "Bones" only has two episodes left before season 11 comes to a close and moves forward to its twelfth and final season. The show is currently on a three-week break, but the Jeffersonian team will return on July to investigate on yet another puzzling case.
To recap, last week's episode "The Stiff in the Cliff" saw a member of the team get tangled up in a high-profile case about the death of billionaire explorer Henry Charles. After being reported missing for several years, his frozen corpse was brought to the Jeffersonian. Everyone was surprised when they found out that Dr. Clark Edison was a part of Henry's last expedition 15 years ago, putting him in the shortlist of suspects. Elsewhere, Cam's sister Felicia paid her a visit to help her plan for the wedding. To avoid having an argument with her sister, Cam decided to keep quiet on her own wants.
When the series returns after its short hiatus, the team will probe on a case involving a murder over a diamond. To give fans an idea of what's to come, the official synopsis for "The Jewel and the Crown" reads:
"The team investigates a body found at a glass recycling plant with a diamond lodged in its jaw. French Inspector Rousseau approaches the team with an accusation against the Marquis De Chaussin, who is revealed to be the victim's husband and lives in Virginia. Meanwhile, Booth discovers he suffers from a temporary eye illness, and Hodgins thinks he's being followed by a ghost."
In the promo clip, Booth (David Boreanaz) is wearing new specs for his temporary eye illness which makes him very conscious of his looks. While in the car, Brennan (Emily Deschanel) tells him that he actually looks "hot" with his new glasses on, but Booth still feels uncomfortable. Aubrey (John Boyd) tells Booth that he always wanted to "play cat and mouse with a jewel thief," with the final moments of the video featuring Aubrey going to the suspect's home on his own.
