Fox's long-running crime drama series "Bones" will be on a short hiatus this week, but the show will return next week to see Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) lead the team to work on yet another unusual case.

To recap, last week's episode featured the Jeffersonian team as a documentary crew followed them around during a work day. They worked on a case involving the murder of a man whose dead body was found in a landfill. Arastoo tried to hide his feelings for Cam from the camera, but the two ended up being engaged in the episode.

According to the official synopsis for next Thursday's episode titled "The Head in the Abutment," the team will investigate a case sure to delight sporting fans out there. A popular hockey player's headless corpse is found in the river, and the Jeffersonian team must gather evidence to find the suspect involved in this brutal crime. while Booth and Aubrey question the plyer's coach (guest star Jeremy Roenick as himself), Booth's knowledge of the game is put to the test. Since the agent was once a hockey player during his younger days, his hockey knowledge is integral in solving the case. As the two go about their investigation, Booth reunites with his hockey rival from the past, and they will face off in the ice once again.

Elsewhere, Hodgins and Oliver (guest star Brian Klugman)will have a competition of their own. Hodgins constructs two drones and the two will compete to see who gets to find the victim's missing head first. Booth and Brennan must also deal with their own personal problems as they try to declutter their house.

Former professional NHL player Jeremy Roenick will guest star in this episode. Stay tuned for all-new episodes of "Bones" season 11 which airs every Thursday nights at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
