Bond 24 Release Date, Cast News: Christoph Waltz Rumored To Appear In New Bond Film

The iconic Bond film franchise just added another star to its ranks in the form of Christoph Waltz. He is due to play the villain's role in the upcoming super spy movie which is currently titled "Bond 24."
The Daily Mail first broke the news of his casting and noted that he could be playing either a full-fledged villain or a friend turned foe. "Bond 24" is the working title of the film which is due for release in 2015. Production for the film started last year when the release date was announced.
Returning to the directing chair will be Sam Mendes, who also helmed the last film in the franchise titled "Skyfall." That particular film eventually went on to become the biggest grossing film in the franchise with over $1.1 billion in collections. Also returning to work on the film is the scriptwriting team of Neal Purvis and Robert Wade who previously worked on "Skyfall."
Playing the part of James Bond will be Daniel Craig in his fourth James Bond movie. Joining him will be regulars Ralph Fiennes who plays M and Naomie Harris (Moneypenny).
Waltz has been enjoying a good run in Hollywood over the years and has won two Best Supporting Actor Oscars within a span of a few years. His first win was for "Inglourious Basterds" in which he played the role of Hans Landa. His next was for "Django Unchained" for the role of Dr. King Schultz. His work in "Inglourious Basterds" saw him win additional awards including a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award.
Although there has been no official word yet on the casting of Waltz in the Bond movie, IGN notes that the Daily Mail has on several occasions provided accurate scoops about the Bond film franchise, adding that Waltz's addition is a done deal.
