Bond 24 Film 'Spectre' Cast News: Christoph Waltz To Play Villain Role

The upcoming James Bond film finally got its moniker "Spectre" on Thursday during an event that was live-streamed throughout the world.
It also saw the unveiling of the cast, who includes Christoph Waltz who will play the part of a villain.
The event also saw the announcement of the car that will be featured in the 24th Bond film – the Aston Martin DB10.
The announcement excited the audience who witnessed the event. But what really got their attention was the announcement on who will play the villain's part. Waltz had been rumored to be in the running for the role of the traditional Bond film "villain" a few weeks ago. That was confirmed when the cast was announced.
Waltz will play the role of Oberhauser, not Ernst Stavro Blofeld as was earlier rumored. Blofeld appeared in several novels written by Ian Fleming, the creator of series, and has been seen in such Bond films as "Thunderball" and "On Her Majesty's Secret Service."
A brief synopsis of "Spectre" was also released during the event. It notes that James Bond will get "a cryptic message from someone in his past which will lead to the uncovering of a sinister organization, and then he has to peel back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind Spectre."
The rest of the cast will see familiar faces such as Daniel Craig (who will play Bond for the fourth time), Rory Kinnear, Ben Whishaw, Naomi Harris and Ralph Fiennes. Aside from Waltz, the new cast members include Monica Bellucci, Lea Seydoux, Andrew Scott and Dave Bautista.
Production on "Spectre" is due to begin this Friday. The shooting of the film will last for seven months and will take place in several cities and countries including Pinewood studios in London, Austria, Rome, Morocco and Mexico City.
