'Blindspot' season 2 spoilers, plot news: Patterson to be at odds with newcomer Nas; Jane Doe's real name revealed

Patterson (Ashley Johnson) will not be too happy with Nas' (Archie Panjabi) arrival in the upcoming second season of hit NBC action drama "Blindspot."

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly's Spoiler Room, executive producer Martin Gero teased the two female characters will butt heads when they meet for the first time in season 2. "Patterson and Nas lock horns a little bit because Nas is from the NSA and so they have an enormous amount of computing power behind them that Patterson would love to have access to," he explained. "She's frustrated by how much they know and aren't sharing with the rest of the intelligence community. They have a great little arc about becoming allies."

Back in June, "The Good Wife" star Panjabi landed a role in the series as Nas Kamal, thehead of an NSA agency that has been secretly investigating Jane Doe (Jamie Alexander.) Panjabi previously described her character as "tough, tenacious, wild and unpredictable," but the actress didn't mention if Nas is a villain or a hero. If one thing is for sure, Nas will stop at nothing to find answers from Jane. The show's official Twitter account recently posted a promo still featuring Nas and Jane sitting across each other, with the caption: "Nas Kamal has questions and she will get answers. #Blindspot"

Meanwhile, Jane's real name will be revealed in the premiere, but a series of clues has been making rounds online. New York Times crossword constructor David Kwong teamed up with an advisor on the series to come up with an interesting puzzle fans can solve and as Cinemablend speculates, Jane's name might be Alice Kruger.

Tune in to "Blindspot" season 2 which premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC. The series will return to its regular timeslot starting on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. ET.my
