'Blindspot' season 2 spoilers: Jane's identity to be revealed in the premiere, will Weller forgive Jane after she betrayed him?

Rookie NBC crime drama "Blindspot" has been renewed for another season, and the story will pick up on the events following Jane Doe's (Jamie Alexander) arrest.
Jane is getting closer to finding out her true identity in season 2, and what actually happened to her might be revealed. As seen in the season 1 finale, Jane appeared to have been the mastermind behind Mayfair's (Marianne Jean-Baptiste) death and an outraged Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) arrested her. Aside from Jane's involvement in Mayfair's killing, Weller felt betrayed after finding out Jane has been pretending to be his long-lost childhood friend Taylor Shaw.
In terms of how the show will move forward to season 2, showrunner Martin Gero gave some details about Jane's quest in figuring out who she really is. Fortunately for fans, Jane's identity will finally be revealed in the season 2 premiere. "That's not going to be a mystery next season," Gero told TV Line. "You're going to find out exactly who she is in the first episode of next season, so it's not like we needed that for additional mystery. It had more to do with Weller's journey this season and his belief that this was all about Taylor Shaw and the relationship that he had with his father... To start with him thinking that she's Taylor Shaw and then have it all fall apart in the end — it's just heartbreaking for him. And for Jane, she starts next season so much more vulnerable because she's been lied to by the bad guys, as well."
Weller was clearly infuriated after Jane lied to him, and the two might not be back to how they used to after everything that has happened. Gero explained that Jane was forced to lie because Oscar was threatening to kill Weller, and it will take some time before a reconciliation happens. "Jane did most of these things under threat of them killing Weller," the showrunner added. "So their relationship is certainly under extraordinary duress, and it's going to take some time to recover organically. Season 2 draws our most interesting relationship into a more interesting place, dramatically."
Did Jane really orchestrate the killing of Mayfair? Will Weller forgive Jane for betraying him? Find out when "Blindspot" returns for season 2 this Fall on NBC.
