The second season of "Blindspot" is all set for its fall premiere and a new trailer featuring Emmy-winning actress Archie Panjabi's shadowy, operative character has been released.

Titled "Moving to Wednesdays," the new promo video recaps the highlights of season 1 — touting the program's timeslot move from Monday nights at 10 p.m. to Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. Aside from a few scenes teasing what's to come, the 32-second clip also gives a first look at Panjabi's new role. As the head of a division in the National Security Agency, she'll be keeping a close eye on Jane Doe's (Jaimie Alexander) case. The show serves as Panjabi's latest acting gig since she left "The Good Wife" back in 2015.

Last week, lead star Alexander was spotted filming some scenes in Brooklyn's Prospect Park in New York. The actress flashed a smile while using a portable fan to keep herself cool from the summer heat. Even though not in the picture, she was joined by co-star Sullivan Stapleton (Kurt Weller in the series) as they shot multiple action sequences. The 32-year-old actress also posted a selfie on Instagram that day while getting her make-up done. "Takes a village...  #BLINDSPOT," the caption read.

Given the family-oriented timeslot, executive producer Martin Gero confirmed that the show will now have less violent themes. "We're not going to shoot anyone in the head anymore," Gero said during the recent Television Critics Association summer press tour held in California, according to TV Guide. "We're toning back some of the violence...we're leaning into a sense of fun and lightness so it isn't all doom and gloom," Gero added.

Additionally, Gero mentioned that Jane's true identity will be revealed in the season 2 premiere. "If the first season was about 'Who is Jane Doe', we want to answer those questions so we can move into the next phase," he teased.

Catch the season 2 premiere of "Blindspot" on Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
