'Blindspot' season 2 premiere date, spoilers news: Jaimie Alexander sustains on-set injury; New storyline a 'massive emotional roller coaster'

Production for "Blindspot" season 2 is currently in full swing, and viewers are in for an action-packed ride when the show makes its much-awaited premiere this Fall.
A new teaser from the network has been recently released, showcasing what lies ahead for Jane Doe as she continues to search clues to know her true identity. The clip also previews Archie Panjabi's new character as she plays an NSA operative who has been keeping a close eye on Jane's case for a long time.
"It's going to send you on a massive emotional roller coaster," lead star Jaimie Alexander teased in the preview (via E! News). "We have a lot of new faces who are going to help clarify who Jane Doe really is." Star Audrey Esparza even hinted that the upcoming season will "pack even more punches than the first." Sullivan Stapleton, who portrays the male lead Kurt Weller, also said there will be "more stunts and car chases" and that he is looking forward to seeing how season 2 plays out.
Meanwhile, the whole cast is clearly hard at work to give viewers the best viewing experience, particularly Alexander. The 32-year-old posted a tweet last Monday (Aug. 23) saying that she sustained an on-set injury while filming a fight scene. "Broke my nose today during a fight scene. Somehow I feel that makes me cooler,' she wrote.
The next day, however, the actress looked good as new and was all set to do more scenes. She posted a selfie while waiting for her take, with the caption that reads: "Back at it." "Gotham" star Drew Powell commented on the actress' post-injury photo and referred to her as "hockey player tough," to which she playfully replied: "Makeup magic!"
"Blindspot" season 2 will have a special premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 10 p.m. on NBC. The program moves to its regular timeslot of 8 p.m. starting Wednesday, Sept. 21.
