Wednesday's season 2 premiere of "Blindspot" may have already unveiled Jane's (Jaimie Alexander) true identity, but it's only the beginning of more revelations up ahead as the story progresses.

The premiere episode kicked off with a three-month time jump, featuring Jane as she finally escaped the dark torture room of the CIA. NSA officer Nas (Archie Panjabi) entered the picture, and her objective was to convince Jane's former team to help her bring down a terrorist organization known as "Sandstorm." As fans have previously deduced, Jane's real name is Alice Kruger. Another surprising twist is that Roman (Luke Mitchell) is actually Jane's brother. and mastermind Shepherd is actually Jane's foster mother (Michelle Hurd).

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Martin Gero confirmed that they are already done with episode 9. "The pace of storytelling has accelerated because most shows people are watching now are cable shows or streaming shows," he explained. "... We just submitted the script for episode nine, which will be the midseason finale, and people read it and said, 'Are you sure this isn't the finale?' It is huge. We're giving away a lot. There's a ton of stuff happening. It's going to be a massive episode."

Next week's episode will feature an impending missile attack, and it's all up to the team to prevent it from happening. According to the official synopsis for episode 2 titled "Heave Fierey Knot," the team will race the clock to stop a corrupt DEA agent from selling missiles to a notorious drug cartel. Meanwhile, Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) tries to keep the team together as Jane's conflicts with the others continue to be a burden to him, along with the arrival of Nas (Archie Panjabi) as co-leader.

Keep tuning in to "Blindspot" season 2 every Wednesday night at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
