'Blindspot' season 2 midseason finale spoilers: Jane stops an attack; major character to die?

Jane (Jaimie Alexander) tries to stop an impending attack but one unfortunate character may still be killed off in the upcoming episode of NBC's mystery action drama "Blindspot" season 2.
Titled "Why Let Cooler Pasture Deform," tonight's episode 9 will also serve as the show's midseason finale. To give viewers an idea of what's to come, the official synopsis for episode 9 reads:
"After Jane discovers that Sandstorm is gearing up for an imminent attack, she risks everything to send a secret SOS to her FBI team."
As noted by spoiler reports, Jane will inform the members of Kurt's (Sullivan Stapleton) team about Sandstorm's sinister plan. Jane's brother Roman (Luke Mitchell) will eventually find out that she tipped the team, and his next move shows he might not be loyal to her after all.
NBC recently released a new promo clip for the episode, which opens with Nas (Archie Panjabi) telling the team that she has been trying to take Sandstorm down for the past six years."I dedicated the past six years to catching Sandstorm. After today, everything changes," she tells the group. The next scene cuts to Roman and Jane entering a room, before Roman points a gun at his sister. Jane screamed after shots were fired, and it seems that either Roman or Shepherd will die in the fall finale.
The episode will also be filled with revelations, as the identity of the mole will finally be unveiled. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly's Spoiler Room, executive producer Martin Gero teased that the midseason finale will give fans a lot of answers for the season's longstanding mysteries.
"In one of our biggest, most emotional episodes yet, Jane is stuck behind enemy lines as the team frantically tries to find her," Gero said. "And if you've been wondering who the mole is, you don't want to miss the mid-season finale."
Tune in to "Blindspot" season 2 every Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
