Jane (Jaimie Alexander) and Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) go missing while undercover in the upcoming episode of NBC's mystery action drama "Blindspot" season 2.

Titled "Do Not Slack, The Featherweight Wins," next week's episode will see the team's mission take an unexpected turn. According to the official synopsis for episode 8, an undercover operation turns wrong when Jane and Weller suddenly go missing. While the pair is nowhere to be seen, the other members of the team must interrogate two criminals who knows exactly where the two agents are. Meanwhile,  AUSA Weitz (guest star Aaron Abrams) returns with a vendetta against the group.

Last week's episode titled "Her Spy's Harmed" saw Jane and Roman (Luke Mitchell) off to another mission, while Weller and Nas (Archie Panjabi) took a little vacation to Bulgaria. Based on Patterson's (Ashley Johnson) analysis, the black hole emails revealed the whereabouts of Douglas Winter (P.J. Byrne), leading the two agents to go after him.

However, when Weller and Nas finally made it abroad, they immediately realized that things weren't what they seemed: Winter didn't actually hack the NSA because he was framed at gunpoint by two unidentified masked individuals. Aside from the gripping, conspiracy-themed plot, the episode also surprised fans with Weller and Nas' steamy make-out session.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly's Spoiler Room segment, executive producer/ series creator Martin Gero weighed in on the unlikely pair and what's next for them. "Nas and Weller are more alike than they want to admit," the EP explained. "They're both kind of loners, leaders, mono-fixated on a goal. They find a lot of comfort with each other — until Weller realized she's bugging him. She'll need to explain that one real quick if there's any hope for something past a fling."

Keep tuning in to all-new episodes of "Blindspot" season 2 airing every Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
