'Blindspot' season 2 episode 14 spoilers: Rich Dotcom helps team investigate secret society; Michelle Hurd teases what's next for Shepherd after major revelation

Weller's (Sullivan Stapleton) team investigates the inner workings of an underground organization on the upcoming episode of NBC's mystery drama "Blindspot" season 2.
Titled "Borrow or Rob," next week's episode will see the team attempt to infiltrate a secret society. According to the official synopsis, one of Jane's (Jaimie Alexander) tattoos will lead the FBI team to a powerful collegiate secret organization. The only way for them to infiltrate the group is to have someone go undercover, so they ask Rich Dotcom (Ennis Esmer), one of its alumni, for help.
Fans know that Weller's team doesn't have a good relationship with Rich. They've met three times since season 1, and none of their encounters ended in a good way. Rich is currently in police custody, but Weller, along with Nas (Archie Panjabi) and Jane, must learn to trust him to find new leads.
Wednesday's hour answered yet another mystery in the show when the connection between Shepherd (Michelle Hurd) and Weller was finally unveiled. It turns out that their relationship spanned decades when Kurt was still a young cadet at a military academy. Shepherd, also known as Ellen Briggs, funded Weller's education, hoping to recruit him to join Sandstorm.
Hurd recently caught up with Collider, and she shared some teasers on what fans could expect from her mysterious character. The actress didn't spill too many details, but she promised that Shepherd will do anything in her power to get what she wants.
"What can I say? It's so yummy! No matter what happens, Shepherd is determined to complete Phase 2 of her plan, and come hell or high water, she feels she's gonna do it. She's going to right the wrong," she said.
After everything that has happened, a reunion between Shepherd and her children, Jane and Roman (Luke Mitchell), seems far from happening anytime soon. However, Hurd said she's just as "curious" to know how that would look like.
"She has accepted the fact that Jane is over there and works for the FBI," Hurd told Entertainment Tonight. "She still feels that Roman can come back to her. When they do come together, it'll be a mammoth fight to the edge of death," she added.
The second season of "Blindspot" airs every Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
