Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds Expecting First Child
Actress Blake Lively announced this week that she and husband Ryan Reynolds are expecting their first child together.
Lively, 27, said in a post on her lifestyle website Preserve that she and her actor husband, who wed two years ago in South Carolina, were expecting their first child together. On the website, Lively says she and her Preserve team will be dedicating today to motherhood, sharing lovely photos of several different mothers on their pregnancy journey.
"With family on our mind, we looked to the origin of it all, to the women in our lives who are right there, at that special moment; at the creation of the family," the Preserve post reads.
"Today we celebrate them. With food to fill their tummies (as if that needs more filling), presents to soothe their tired (and swollen) soles, toys to warm their baby's souls, projects to provoke them, and decorations to inspire creativity and merriment in all," the post adds, concluding, "Congratulations to all the expecting mothers out there."
The actress, who has starred in in the hit television show "Gossip Girl," also shared a darling photo of herself holding her small, growing baby bump. The photo was apparently taken by a relative, Eric Lively.
Preserve also hinted at the baby news via its Instagram account, posting a photo of infant onesies and shoes hanging on a clothesline with the caption: "Hmm... What's that? Big news on www.Preserve.us Check it out... Who can find it first? #PreserveCelebration #bignews."
