Netflix's science fiction anthology series "Black Mirror" recently tapped the industry's most talented composers for its much-awaited third season airing this Fall.

With an anthology format, the series gives writers more creative freedom and control on how every episode should play out. Among the talented writers and directors who will take part in season 3 are Rashida Jones ("Parks and Recreation"), Dan Trachtenberg ("10 Cloverfield Lane") and Joe Wright ("Atonement"). To boot, some of the new episodes will be scored by music composers Geoff Barrow and Ben Salisbury. The two artists previously collaborated for Alex Garland's 2015 psychological sci-fi film "Ex Machina."

Series creator Charlie Brooker first broke the news via Twitter where he also mentioned the other talented musicians who will compose scores for the rest of the episodes. "This is true and v exciting. We also have stories scored by Max Richter, Clint Mansell, Bear McCreary and more," his post dated August 3 reads.

Production for the upcoming season is currently in full swing and a complete rundown of the episode titles, stars and directors has been released. According to IndieWire, Brooker serves as the lead writer but one episode titled "Nosedive" was co-written by Jones and Schur. The writers were careful not to give away spoilers but they described it as a "social satire about identity in the social media age — quite a playful episode, but also quite nightmarish."

The series will also feature a video game-inspired episode titled "Playtest" while an episode called "Hated in the Nation" leans more to the "police procedural" genre.

"Black Mirror" is made up of stand-alone episodes, each featuring satirical twisted tales exploring the concept of techno-paranoia. Before being picked up by Netflix for its U.S. version, the British program debuted on Channel 4 back in 2011.
