Netflix's "Black Mirror" is less than a week away from its much-hyped premiere, and the new trailer for the hit sci-fi anthology drama promises more terrifying episodes up ahead for fans.

In the extended promo clip, viewers are given a first look at the six different stories—or as the trailer calls it, "six different realities"—for this upcoming season. The titles for those intriguing six episodes in order are "Nosedive," "Playtest," "Shut up and Dance," "San Junipero," "Men Against Fire" and "Hated in the Nation."

The stellar cast lineup for season 3 includes Bryce Dallas Howard, Alice Eve, James Norton, Cherry Jones, Wyatt Russell, Alex Lawther, Jerome Flynn, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Mackenzie Davis, Michael Kelly, Malachi Kirby, Kelly McDonald and Faye Marsay, among others. Along with the impressive on-screen talent, Netflix has also enlisted famed directors, including Dan Trachtenberg, the man behind this year's famed movie "10 Cloverfield Lane."

During last Saturday's New York Comic-Con (NYCC), fans were given an early treat when the streaming giant premiered a never-before-seen episode of "Black Mirror." Titled "Playtest," the 60-minute episode stars Russell ("22 Jump Street") as Cooper, an American who ends his backpacking trip in London. After becoming friends with a  British journalist named Sonja (Hannah John-Kamen), Cooper soon realizes his ATM card has been compromised. With no money to pay for a trip home, Sonja suggests he joins a playtest for an upcoming video game created by a secretive tech company and sell a photo of the new technology to the press.

Created by columnist-turned-TV presenter Charlie Brooker, "Black Mirror" features society's unease with modern technology through gripping and individually different tales delving into themes such as techno-paranoia. The show gives the audience a closer look at how technology has completely changed almost every aspect of people's lives.

The third season of "Black Mirror" premieres on Friday, Oct. 21 at 3:00 a.m. EST on Netflix.
