Black Friday 2014 Walmart Sales: Discounts Period Available Over 5 Days

Black Friday deals at Walmart are being stretched over five days this year, with some of the best ones taking place on Thanksgiving Day itself.

With major retailers such as Target and Best Buy placing emphasis on spreading deals over many days, Walmart has followed suit.

Walmart plans to kick off its Black Friday deals on Thanksgiving Day at 6 p.m. The first deals will focus on toys, movies and video games. Gamespot notes that deals on offer include "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" for X-box or Playstation 4 priced at 49.60 which offers savings of $10, and "Call of Duty: Ghosts" priced at $25.

At 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving, Walmart will start its electronics sales, which according to PC Mag include the Fitbit Flex at $69. Among the large electronics goods on sale include a number of Samsung Smart HDTVs priced between $298 and $798 and the Vizio 50-inch LED HDTV priced at $698, providing savings of up to $300.

On Black Friday Walmart's sales start at 6 a.m. and last until noon, giving customers the opportunity to avail themselves of a 30 percent reduction on music CDs. Also included in the sale are a number of Samsung TVs and other audio products.

Walmart has Black Friday deals for online shoppers, too. These start even before the in-store deals at 12.01 on Thanksgiving Day. Among these are a 55-inch Samsung 4K curved TV priced at $1,298, providing savings of $900; a 15.6-inch Dell laptop with touch-screen priced at $549, and a GoPro Hero3+ Silver camera priced at $249.97, providing savings of $50.

As part of the extended sales from Black Friday through Sunday, Walmart is offering a 16GB Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite priced at $79 coupled with a two-year contract plus an additional $75 Walmart Gift Card. Also featured is a 16 GB iPhone 6 priced at $179, coupled with a two-year contract and an additional $75 Walmart Gift Card.
