'Big Bang Theory' Cast News, Spoilers: Matt Bennet to Play Josh, Wolowitz's Younger Half-Brother

Everyone, meet Howard Wolowitz's brother.
The Entertainment Weekly reported that "Victorious" star Matt Bennet will be playing Josh, the half-brother of Simon Helberg's Wolowitz in the popular sitcom "The Big Bang Theory."
The 23-year-old actor has agreed to guest-star in a recurring role that will debut on the April 9th episode of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 7 playing Wolowitz's younger brother.
In the episode titled "The Fortification Implementation," Bennet is set to show up as Josh, surprising Howard on his doorstep.
Since Howard has not seen his father since he was 11, he was taken aback by Josh's appearance, whose introduction could indicate that the show is planning to reveal Howard's father, too.
Earlier this season, Howard suffered the traumatic loss of his mother and Josh will allow him to explore and possibly open up his relationship with his estranged father.
"The Big Bang Theory" was praised for the way that it handled the death of Mrs. Wolowitz, who never appeared on screen and was only previously heard off-screen, the Inquisitr reported.
The death of Mrs. Wolowitz was prompted by the untimely passing of her voice actor, Carol Ann Susi, who died at the age of 62 in November 2014.
In addition to co-starring alongside Ariana Grande and Victoria Justice on Nickelodeon's hit series Victorious, Bennett also appeared in "Bridesmaids" and "The Virginity Hit."
Bennett also previously appeared on "iCarly," showcasing his own writing abilities by co-writing the 2010 short film "Text Me," which won the Best Comedy at the Indie Short Film competition.
He has also worked with both Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, the co-founders of "Funny or Die."
"The Big Bang Theory" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
