After being betrayed by Chuck (Michael McKean), Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk) will begin turning into notorious criminal lawyer Saul Goodman in the upcoming third season of AMC's hit spin-off crime drama "Better Call Saul."

As noted by spoiler reports, Jimmy's life-changing decision to become Saul Goodman will likely happen in the upcoming installment. After being betrayed by his brother Chuck, Jimmy's pain will lead him to embrace a new identity as the flamboyant lawyer "Breaking Bad" fans have come to love. Back in season 2, Jimmy found out that Chuck outsmarted him and messed with the Mesa Verde case he was handling. Chuck also held a record that can ruin Jimmy's career if it gets released. Chuck will later sell Jimmy out using the said record, completely turning Jimmy's life upside down.

Meanwhile, fans are already sure of Gus Fring's return, but showrunner Peter Gould said in an interview that viewers might not see much of the drug kingpin. Back in "Breaking Bad," Gus is known to always keep himself under the radar.

"I would be very sad if people were expecting to see that character right away on Season 3, he told Entertainment Weekly. "Right now, this is a guy—I'm talking about Gus Fring—who often works very indirectly. This is not somebody who is not easy to access. On 'Breaking Bad' at times he was a little bit like the man behind the curtain, like the Wizard of Oz, not so easy to get to see. So, none of this is to say that suddenly you're going to be seeing an awful lot of that character once we come back."

Other "Breaking Bad" characters speculated to join the program for cameo appearances include Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), Marie Schrader (Betsy Brandt) and Walter White (Bryan Cranston).

The third season of "Better Call Saul" is expected to premiere sometime around February 2017 on AMC.
