'Better Call Saul' season 3 spoilers: Bryan Cranston 'all in' for cameo role, Bob Odenkirk hopes to see more Mike-Jimmy scenes

Bob Odenkirk as Jimmy McGill in \"Better Call Saul\" | AMC Network

"Better Call Saul" returns for its third season to feature more of Jimmy McGill's (Bob Odenkirk) life before becoming the popular "Breaking Bad" criminal lawyer Saul Goodman.

Season 2 left off with Jimmy having a lot of difficulties in his career and personal life, particularly when it comes to his relationship with his brother Chuck (Michael McKean). The final episode saw Jimmy unknowingly admit to Chuck that he tampered with the documents and bribed the copy store clerk, incriminating himself.

In an interview with Variety, Odenkirk mentioned about Kim's past being further explored and what led her to Jimmy's life. She has evolved all throughout the second season and the new storyline will delve deeper into her complexities as a character. As for what he would like to see in season 3, Odenkirk hopes for more scenes with Mike and Jimmy. "More me and Mike together, squaring off," he said. "It's just always fun. It makes me laugh. It's a great burst of energy to be working with [Jonathan] Banks like that. I have crazy ideas. I'd love to see some of Saul during the years of 'Breaking Bad,' but off-screen, out of his office, not in his Saul mode. I'm curious what that person is."

The first two seasons featured some familiar faces from "Breaking Bad," but will Bryan Cranston ever make an appearance in the show as the infamous Walter White? Jimmy met Walter when he was already publicly known as Saul Goodman, but it would be interesting how the writers will incorporate Walter in the story.

Cranston recently appeared on "The Rich Eisen Show" where he mentioned that he is more than willing to be on board for a cameo role. "I owe Vince Gilligan so much. He was my champion to get this role," he said. "If they were to call me and say, 'We have this idea, we'd like...' I would say, 'Yes, you don't have to finish the pitch. I'm there, what do you want me to do?'... It would be something kind of unique and obscure and creative, and I'm all in."

AMC has yet to announce a definitive premiere date for "Better Call Saul" season 3, but the series is expected to premiere early next year.
