Retired neurosurgeon and 2016 presidential hopeful Ben Carson has voiced his opposition to two recent Planned Parenthood videos that show organization executives discussing the costs that accompany the procurement of aborted fetal body parts for the alleged donation to scientific research.

In an interview with Iowa's WHO radio this week, the retired neurosurgeon suggested that the founder of Planned Parenthood created the organization to "eliminate black people."

Carson also questioned if President Barack Obama "knows the history of Planned Parenthood."

"You wonder if he actually knows the history of Planned Parenthood and Margaret Sanger, who was trying to eliminate black people," Carson told WHO host Jan Mickelson, referencing the abortion organization's founder. "That was the whole purpose of it."

One day before the first video was released last week, Carson told The Blaze that the video serves as a wake-up call for society and its views regarding abortion.

"It's relevant in that a lot of people were just sleeping on the issue and not paying close attention," Carson told The Blaze.

"That video was like taking a cold fish and slapping you in the face to help you realize the depravity to which we have sunken as a society," Carson continued. "Little babies that can move, that can react, and we take them and we tear them apart, and we take their organs and sell them."

Carson joins several other conservative politicians in criticizing the two secretly-recorded videos, both filmed by the Center for Medical Progress.

Both videos show executives at Planned Parenthood discussing the costs associated the removal of fetal body parts during an abortion.
