Kristin Kreuk as Catherine and Jay Ryan as Vincent find their marriage in jeopardy in \"Beast of Times, Worst of Times.\" | The CW/Christos Kalohoridis

When a guy is married to a cop and a girl is married to a doctor who transforms into a beast, hoping for a normal relationship would be like shooting for the moon. That is exactly what Vincent (Jay Ryan) and Cat (Kristin Kreuk) are finding out six episodes into "Beauty and the Beast" season 4.

From the first five episodes, fans have seen how the two have struggled to keep some semblance of normalcy in their marriage. However, spoilers for episode 6 show that their bond will be tested anew when their relationship is jeopardized.

Episode 6 titled "Beast of Times, Worst of Times" will see someone from Vincent's past making a haunting comeback. Check out the promo trailer below:

In the trailer, the couple is being briefed about a former Afghan sergeant, who happens to be Vincent's former commanding officer. The discovery troubles Vincent because his former CO has once tried to expose him as a beast. Now Vincent is concerned that he may turn back to being a beast as he and Cat try to go after their enemies.

"Vincent and Cat discover that there is another nemesis out to get Vincent, which brings the gang closer together in more ways than one. Cat and Vincent are forced on opposite sides of the law, which puts their relationship in jeopardy," said the synopsis posted by Spoilers Guide.

So there is more than one enemy out to target and expose Vincent. However, dealing with both before things escalate could find him and Cat at opposing ends of the law. That could spell trouble for the newly married couple, and once things start to fall apart, their relationship could be thrust in a precarious situation.

"Beauty and the Beast" season 4 episode 6 titled "Beast of Times, Worst of Times" will air July 7 at 9 p.m. on The CW.
