The first patch for the Visceral game "Battlefield Hardline," which was announced recently but hasn't been released yet, will reduce the effectiveness of the couch which is present in the Hotwire mode's Dust Bowl map.

Aside from reducing the couch's health, Visceral made bug fixes and gameplay changes in the patch.

The existence of the couch was discovered when the game was released last month. A video of the couch was posted on YouTube. Soon players were using it in the game. It was even described as the fastest vehicle available.

The couch can seat up to four people, and it then moves and runs over enemies. When a kill takes place, the kill feed in "Battlefield Hardline" displays "MERICA" as the weapon.

The couch can only be used once in a round until it is destroyed. It becomes available again during the next game.

A repair tool is available for the couch to prevent its destruction, basically making it more of a deadly weapon and less of an Easter Egg novelty. Patch 1 will bring down the health of the couch and its repair rate will also be reduced to a "miniscule" proportion.

In addition to the fix for the drivable couch, Patch 1 will also see several weapons being given recoil reductions while others will be given boosts designed to increase the amount of damage they are able to inflict. As for weapons like the K10 and AKM, the effectiveness and damage they are able to inflict have been reduced.

Among the other bug fixes listed in the patch are a fix for the Bloodmoney exploit in HH and another for Derailed Levolution. As for the other gameplay changes they include a fix for the rescue / crosshair exploit.
