'Battleborn' release date 2016: Open beta start on Apr. 8, full game release in May

Gearbox has just announced that they will be releasing MOBA-shooter, "Battleborn" in open beta version in April. The announcement came through the official "Battleborn" blog.
Fans should save the date because the game will be available on Apr. 8 on PlayStation 4 and Apr. 13 on Xbox One and PC platforms. Gearbox will end the beta period on Apr 18. The game's download size is said to be around 8.5 GB on PlayStation 4, 11 GB on Xbox One and 12 GB on PC.
Gearbox promises an exciting game for gamers in "Battleborn." According to the blog, players will be given the chance to fight and be a hero in the universe. There will be 25 heroes in the game and each of them has different set of powers, different personalities and gameplay styles. Players can opt 5 versus 5 multiplayer battles or they can go on a Story Mode. Gearbox suggests that players must do well during battles so that they can progress and increase their rank, which will enable them to unlock new heroes, taunts, skins and Helix mutations. Loot and gear will also be available for players; however, progress made in the beta version will not be carried over once the full game is released.
PlayStation 4 players will also be lucky enough to receive the game's first expansion pack before every one else does. They will also be the first ones to be given a chance to access the hero, Alani, as well as exclusive access to Toby hero.
Apparently, Gearbox is doing it for all PlayStation 4 users as a big thank you for participating in the open beta.
"Battleborn" is scheduled to be released in full version come May 3 of this year. However, Gearbox is giving all their fans the opportunity to play the game through the beta version before the full game release.
