'Batman: Return To Arkham' release date news 2016: Remastered collection rumored to hit shelves in November

"Batman: Return To Arkham" was initially scheduled to be released later this month, but recent reports confirmed that the game's launch has been delayed indefinitely. However, fans may still have their hands in the upcoming remastered collection before this year ends.

From its initial July 31 release, the game's arrival will now be moved to November of this year. According to Eurogamer, multiple unnamed sources claim that the collection of Batman games might also come out next year since the November release window is still not set in stone. The said delay is caused by frame-rate problems in the porting of the games, which is currently being developed by Virtuous Games, a China-based company.

Polygon points out that Rocksteady and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment are keeping a close eye on the matter since they have previously encountered similar issues with last year's Batman: Arkham Knight PC port.

As of now, WB games' last official statement about the matter was when they confirmed the delay on June 28. The press statement posted on Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment's Arkham Knight forums reads:

"After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has decided to delay the release of Batman: Return to Arkham to give the team at Virtuous Games additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience. We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the game will be ready. We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans."

For the uninitiated, "Batman: Return To Arkham" is a remastered collection of "Batman: Arkham Asylum" and "Batman: Arkham City" developed by Rocksteady Studios which were released in 2009 and 2011, respectively.

"Batman: Return To Arkham" is set to be launched for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
