'Bates Motel' season 5 air date, plot rumors: Who else will get to see Norma's dead body?

The psychological thriller series "Bates Motel" by A&E has surprisingly been a hit among its viewers.

Although there were initial reservations about the attempt at a modern retelling of Alfred Hitchcock's classic thriller film "Psycho," the show, according to Movie Pilot, has been "a driving force full of spectacular acting talent, cinematography and storytelling." However, its loyal followers may end up feeling devastated now, knowing that "Bates Motel" will soon come to an end.

Before the end of season 4, it can be recalled that Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) dug up his mother's grave and brought her back home. No one else aside from Chick (Ryan Hurst) witnessed what Norman did to his mother. Although chick found Norman's way of coping as unusual, he only gave the young man his advice and left.

However, as reported by Game N Guide, there are speculations that Chick, given his nature, will surely use what he witnessed as a means to control Norman and to force him to be part of his business. He can also threaten Norman to find his uncle Caleb (Kenny Johnson).

Aside from Chick, there are also other characters in the show who might accidentally find Norma's (Vera Farmiga) dead body in Season 5. First is Dylan who is sure to go out of his way to comfort his younger brother, knowing fully well that Norman is a troubled kid that would need his help more than ever after their mother's death. Another candidate that could see Norma's corpse is Romero (Nestor Carbonell), and he may choose to avenge her death and blame Norman for what happened to her.

Other possible characters that could have an encounter with Norma's corpse could be Norman's best friend Emma (Olivia Cooke), the iconic "Psycho" character Marion Crane, the new character Madeleine Loomis, or Norman's uncle Caleb.

The fifth and final season of A&E's psychological thriller series "Bates Motel" will premiere sometime in March 2017.
