Looking for a fresh start, Justin Forsett and the Baltimore Ravens are set to part ways in the early stages of the National Football League campaign.

According to reports, the decision was mutual as both parties agreed on the veteran running back's future with the team.

The decision came after Forsett was not given any playing time as he was inactive against the Oakland Raiders over the weekend. He then approached Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome to speak about his desire to play with another team.

Talking to reporters from the Ravens' official site, Forsett revealed, "It was mutual. I felt like my opportunity here was closing. I'm at a phase in my career where I don't want to sit; I want to play. I have a lot of football left in me."

Already at 30 years old, Forsett knew that he had limited time left as his window is now closing, and wants to play as much as he can for any franchise.

It seems like the Ravens are looking forward to utilizing their younger players as they try to continue their impressive start to the season.

Against the Raiders, the Ravens played with Terrance West while Forsett's chances on the field dwindled.

Furthermore, the Ravens are looking to save rookie Kenneth Dixon a spot as he recovers from his injury.

It appears that the franchise is invested more on the younger running backs and has no time for older players like Forsett.

Forsett also weighed in on the decision to move and revealed through his Twitter account that he will always carry the team in his heart.

At the moment, there are no teams targeted to acquire Forsett services but he should find one soon enough as there is no shortage of the need for dependable running backs in the league.

Furthermore, Forsett is considered as one of the nicest guys in the league which accounts for a lot in the locker room because chemistry is important.
