'Avengers: Infinity Wars' to feature Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Guardians of the Galaxy team-up?

The much-awaited sequel to 2015's massive hit "Avengers: Age of Ultron" is expected to showcase a huge number of known Marvel superheroes and villains. Set to be released in 2018, "Avengers: Infinity War" will feature their roster of characters from Marvel Studios' previous blockbuster films. According to the latest reports, the Guardians of the Galaxy will play an important part in the movie, which will mark the first time that the outer space-based Marvel heroes will meet the Earth-based Avengers.
Just like "Captain America: Civil War," the upcoming two-part "Avengers" movie will see several Marvel characters in action, and "Infinity War" writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely revealed that the Earth's Mightiest Heroes will be teaming up with the Guardians of the Galaxy, composed of Peter Quill/Star Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Zaldana), Drax the Destroyer (David Bautista), Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) and Groot (Vin Diesel). The alliance of these two powerful groups of superheroes is just fair as the third "Avengers" movie will introduce an overpowered supervillain. The Mad Titan Thanos (played by Josh Brolin) is expected to raise hell as he gathers all the Infinity Stones to achieve power greater than anyone else in the universe.
Markus said in an interview with Nerdist via IGN that it is already a common knowledge who owns the Infinity Gauntlet, which will be containing the six Infinity Stones. He also reveals that Thanos, together with his children, will be present in "Infinity War." To note, Gamora is a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy and also the adoptive daughter of Thanos. Nebula (Karen Gillan), who is one of the villains of 2014's "Guardians of the Galaxy," is also Thanos' adoptive daughter and is expected to appear in the "Avengers" sequel.
The Guardians of the Galaxy is expected to team up with the Earth-based heroes such as Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans), Bruce Banner/Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson). Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is also a member of the Avengers, although he originated from Asgard.
