'Avengers: Infinity War' spoilers, plot news: Thanos seeks to 'court death,' teams up with Loki to gather Infinity Stones
The third "Avengers" film is still a few years away, but fresh details regarding the movie's contents are surfacing on the internet as early as now. The "Avengers: Infinity War" will feature the Earth-based Avengers once again as they are expected to face their most powerful enemy yet, the Mad Titan Thanos. The supervillain's actor himself, Josh Brolin, spills a few details about what to expect from the character. He claims that there are a lot of things that the fans do not know about Thanos.

In an interview with the Comic Book Resources, Brolin reveals that there is "more than meets the eye" with respect to the Mad Titan. The actor said that there is a lot of aspects of Thanos' personality that have not yet been explored so far in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). This is understandable, as the supervillain has only been featured in some minor scenes and post-credits appearances such as in the first two "Avengers" movies and "Guardians of the Galaxy."
Brolin expects that the fans will be able to understand Thanos and his motivation in dominating all life in the galaxy. Those that are familiar with the Marvel comic book story of Thanos and his quest to gather all the Infinity Stones would know that the villain seeks to "court death" that he is willing to eradicate numerous life forms in the universe to appease death. The only way for him to do this is to achieve immeasurable power by gathering all six Infinity Stones.
Speaking of the Infinity Stones, it is rumored by the Movie Pilot that the God of Deceit and Thor's adoptive brother, Loki (Tom Hiddleston), will be teaming up with Thanos in "Avengers: Infinity War." It is expected that Loki will cooperate with the Mad Titan to collect all of the Infinity Stones. It was also rumored that Loki was the one who gave Thanos the Infinity Gauntlet from Odin's vault, although this does not appear to be the case with the post-credits scene in "Avengers: Age of Ultron." The gauntlet wielded by Thanos is different from that located in Odin's vault.
However, as reported by Cinema Blend, "Avengers: Infinity War" may actually reveal that there are two Infinity Gauntlets existing in the universe. Marvel president Kevin Feige has confirmed that the two Infinity Gauntlets in the MCU are the one Thanos was seen wearing in the end credits scene of "Age of Ultron," while the other one is still under the protection of Asgard. Therefore, it is speculated that the other Infinity Gauntlet will be used by the Avengers and their allies to collect the Infinity Stones and ultimately using the gauntlet's power to defeat Thanos.
