'Avengers Infinity War' Movies Release Date, Cast News: Rumors of Spider-Man Heat Up

A while ago it was rumored that Spider-Man would be making a grand entrance into the Avengers movies, and with the Infinity War movies set for release from 2018, it is believed Spider-Man could be making an entrance at that time. Although these rumors had no factual basis, they have excited many fans.
The hack attack on Sony, which owns the rights to the Spider-Man movie franchise, has reignited the rumors about his future appearance in an Avengers film. The hack led to the revelation of a series of emails between Sony and Marvel representatives, showing that the two studios were indeed discussing the possibility of allowing Marvel to produce three Spider-Man movies with Sony retaining all the creative control, marketing and distribution rights. While many sources reported on this, they stated it was unlikely as Marvel would not look kindly on ceding creative control to Sony.
The two studios also hoped that Spider-Man would make an appearance in the "Captain America: Civil War" movie. In the comic book, Spider-Man had an important role to play in the civil war. However, the hacked emails have since revealed that Spider-Man will not feature in it because the negotiations between the studios bogged down.
Other hacked emails also indicated that Spider-Man could be featured in the third and fourth instalment of the Avengers franchise. The studios were also considering a standalone movie for Spider-Man which could be released in 2019.
The third and fourth movies in the Avengers franchise are titled "Avengers: Infinity War Part I" and "Avengers: Infinity War Part II," which will be centered on the villain Thanos.
With the Avengers facing their toughest foe yet, the team of superheroes is expected to recruit more superheroes, and this is where Spider-Man will come in, according to unconfirmed reports.
