Furthermore, as written in the manga version, Captain Erwin Smith will lose an arm in a battle. Once he comes back, he will be leaving the corps.
"Attack on Titan" is an anime TV series based on the Japanese manga series of the same name, written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. Set in cities surrounded by enormous worlds, it tells the story of humans as they defend their territory against the Titans, gigantic humanoids who feed on humans for no apparent reason at all. Initially, the story puts focus on Eren Yeager, together with his sister Mikasa Ackerman and childhood friend Armin Arlert. They join the military to fight Titans after their home town was invaded, and also to avenge Eren's mother who was eaten by the enemies.
