'Attack on Titan' season 2 spoilers: Krista's true identity revealed
Fans have been waiting for the second season of the anime "Attack on Titan" for years. Now that it has been officially confirmed, fans can't help but theorize the possible arcs for the upcoming season.
There have been delays with the production of season 2 because the writers want the manga to be four story arcs ahead of the anime. Hopefully, the writers have used that time to create something great for the show.
Sources say that Krista Lenz's true identity will be revealed next season. Though most people know her as one of Eren Yeager's colleagues from training, and for being one of his associates in the Survey Corps, there's more to Krista in the "Attack on Titan" plot.
In the upcoming season, fans might find out that Krista is actually Historia Reiss, the last remaining member of the royal family. The Reiss family was the royal family living within the inner lands of Wall Sheena. Historia was the illegitimate child of Rod Reiss, once the king of humanity.
Though Krista was portrayed as a beautiful girl who caught everyone's attention, she will be depicted as a hollow and empty being when she is introduced as Historia.
During one of the screenings for the live action film of "Attack on Titan," a teaser for the second season was shown to attendees. A fan was able to capture the brief trailer, which hinted at one possible arc for the upcoming season. The trailer revealed that the Survey Corps found out that the walls had titans inside them.
This information indicates that for the second season, there might be a civil war. When the military discovers the titans, they could go against higher ranking officials from the inner walls.
Moreover, reports are saying that a titan named Zeke will be appearing in season 2. This titan appears to have more human attributes than ordinary titans. Zeke is smarter than most and also has the ability to speak.
"Attack on Titan" season 2 is expected to return in the spring of 2017.
