'Attack on Titan' season 2 release date, plot news 2016: New characters to be introduced; plot to shed light on the titans' origins?
The second season of "Attack on Titan" is probably the most anticipated anime series of this year, and fans have been waiting for its arrival since the first season wrapped up in 2014. Details about the storyline and premiere date remain under wraps, but there are speculations that the new season will focus on the war between titans who got beyond the wall and the rest of the 104th Trainees Squad.
Rumor has it that the plot will explore the history behind the walled cities. Viewers will probably see the titans' origins and what led to the situation they are currently in. The backstories of Reiss and Ackerman families are also expected to be given focus. According to a report, the Ackermans have a unique ability to keep their memories in spite of the king's efforts to erase them, which usually puts the family in trouble.
As for new characters, Captain Kenny Ackerman is one of the characters who will be introduced in the sophomore season. He plays a big role serving as the King's protector as well as the Military Police Brigade's First Interior Squad. The Beast Titan is also expected to make an appearance in the series. Compared to the Colossal Titan, the creature is more intelligent and has greater knowledge when it comes to leading the rest of the titans.
While fans await the arrival of the anime's forthcoming season, they might be interested in a new " Attack on Titan" Vol. 19 Special Edition Set which has been released by Kodansha Comics.
