'Attack on Titan' Manga Chapter 88 spoilers, rumors: lid to be lifted on Grisha's Titan origin
The previous Chapter 87 of "Attack on Titan" manga series has featured a lot of thrilling action sequences and revelations, some of them are centered on the fate of Dr. Grisha Yeager. Many fans have feared that Grisha would meet his demise in the previous chapter, but an interesting twist of events happened.
"Attack on Titan" Chapter 87 titled "Borderline" featured Grisha Yaeger on the verge of being punished for his misdeeds. Grisha himself is feeling guilty about what happened with Zeka, as he believes he is responsible for the latter's grim fate, iTech Post recapped.
On the other hand, the identity of the Night Owl was revealed, being the leader of the Eldian group aiming the revive the organization. The Marleyans considered this group to be dangerous, making their move to eliminate possible symphatizers.
The Marleyans punished Grisha, torturing him along with other Eldian Revivalist group members. The last part of his punishment is to be fed alive to the hungry Titans down the wall. These titans are the converted Eldian members who are used by the Marleyan officers to punish the rebels.
Originally, the Marleyans planned to turn Grisha into a full-fledged titan like those behind the wall. However, Officer Klaus decided to have Grisha fed to the titans instead. Fortunately, it was Klaus who was pushed down the wall and be killed by the Eldian titans. Ultimately, the shocking revelation that one of the Marleyan officers named Kruger is actually The Owl, spying on enemy grounds.
Spoilers for the upcoming chapter suggest that Grisha's source of titan powers will be revealed. Many fans have been wanting to know how the renowned doctor ended up being a titan shifter. More about Grisha's life will be explored in Chapter 88. It is also speculated that Officer Kruger or The Owl is also a titan shifter himself.
