There has been a lot of buzz about the upcoming game "Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains," which is due for release in the U.S. next month. However, the recently shown trailer for the upcoming Japanese live action movie titled "Attack on Titan" stole some of the limelight.

Two live action films are being planned and the trailer that was just released was for the first one titled "Shingeki No Kyojin," which in English translates into "Attack on Titan." It is due for release on Aug. 1 this year. The next film titled "Attack on Titan End of the World" will hit theaters about a month and a half later on Sept.19.

The film will only be released in Japan. However, there are expectations that it could also be released later on in other parts of the world, including the U.S, on DVD or some other form of home media.

The series continues to grow in popularity from its original roots and now includes a number of video games, novels, a live action television series debuting later this year and the two films. The merchandises associated with the series have also increased exponentially and are now very popular throughout the globe.

With the game "Attack on Titan: Humanity In Chains" due to land in North America next month, merchandises related to the franchise are expected to get further boost in sales.

The upcoming film follows the plot that was outlined in the original magna series, describing a world where Titans roam freely and humans have been forced to construct cities within giant walls in order to survive.

However, this doesn't stop the Titans from attacking, destroying the walls and feasting on humans whenever they can. The heroes in the film come from military forces using special 3D gear that gives them the ability to maneuver behind the Titans and kill them by attacking their weak area which is located at the nape of their neck.
