Asus ZenFone 2 vs Nexus 6 Review: Specs, Features Comparison - Google Provides Stiff Competition

The Asus ZenFone 2 appears to be a great budget phone with the latest specs and higher RAM, but the whale-sized Nexus 6 from Google provides serious competition.
Starting with design, the ZenFone 2 has a full metal body that gives it a premium look and its back is curved. It also has a coating on its Gorilla Glass 3 that is supposed to keep friction to a minimum when operating the phone. The Nexus 6 also has an aluminum frame and its back is made from curved plastic, which allows it to be easily held. However, the finish of the Nexus 6 is smooth, which means it could easily slip while being held.
As for their displays, the ZenFone 2 has a 5.5-inch IPS screen with a 70.1 percent screen-to-body ratio. It also has a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 403 pixels per inch. The Nexus 6, on the other hand, has an AMOLED screen measuring 5.96 inches and a 74.1percent screen-to-body ratio. It has a resolution of1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 493 pixels per inch.
Comparing their platforms, the Nexus 6 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, Quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU and Adreno 420 GPU. Both phones have similar 16 megapixel cameras at their rear.
Finally in terms of price, the Nexus 6 is priced at $249 with a two-year contract. The ZenFone 2 with 2 GB RAM will be priced at $199 without a contract when it is released in March.
