'Arrow' season 5 spoilers: Wild Dog defies Green Arrow's orders in episode 3; EP talks future for 'Olicity'

WWE star Cody Rhodes brings the Smackdown to Star City in the upcoming episode of The CW's hit superhero series "Arrow" season 5.
Titled "A Matter of Trust," next week's episode will feature a conflict in Team Arrow. Now that Oliver's (Stephen Amell) new recruits have been trained, they are all set to hit the streets. However, Oliver doesn't think it's the right time. Headstrong Wild Dog (guest star Rick Gonzalez) refuses to follow the Green Arrow's orders and sets out on his own mission to take down drug dealer, Garret Runnels (guest star Cody Rhodes), who is causing trouble in Star City. Runnels, on the other hand, proves he's more powerful than Wild Dog. To save his teammate, Green Arrow is forced to go head to head with Runnels.
On other related news, "Olicity" might not be a thing this season, as executive producer Wendy Mericle recently confirmed that Oliver and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards)are far from getting back together as a couple anytime soon. Despite being previously psychologically traumatized by Havenrock, Felicity's story arc moves forward with her new boyfriend Detective Malone (Tyler Ritter), who was first seen in the season 5 premiere.
Unfortunately for fans still hoping for Olicity to happen, Malone and Felicity are certainly happy together—and Oliver won't drive a wedge between the two characters. "We're not necessarily going to see them reconcile this season," Mericle revealed to TV Guide. "[But] I think there will always be lingering feelings between these two."
To know more details on the fate of Oliver and Felicity's relationship, the media outlet notes that all lingering questions about "Olicity" will be answered in the upcoming fifth episode of this season, which will air on Nov. 2.
The fifth season of "Arrow" airs every Wednesday night at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
