'Arrow' Season 5 spoilers: Next villain will be 'more human,' crossover episodes with 'Supergirl' likely?
The finale episode of The CW's superhero series "Arrow" Season 4 was out last May 25 and it featured the final showdown between the main protagonist of the show, the Green Arrow/Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and the season's big villain, Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough).As another chapter closes, a new story begins as the next season of "Arrow" is reportedly introducing a new villain to the story, and it is expected to be a more "human" character compared to the previous villains with special superpowers.

According to the latest rumors, "Arrow Season 5" will be introducing a new villain that does not have any superpowers or unbelievably high level of battle skills and senses. In an interview with Variety, Amell teased a few details regarding the upcoming big bad guy, including the character not having any super powers. To compare, Season 4 villain Damien Darhk has a strange power that allows him to manipulate objects without touching them.
Amell further stated that the next main villain in "Arrow" Season 5 will a different kind of "bad guy" compared to its predecessors. He said that the character can only be done once in the show when it is finally in its fifth, sixth, and seventh seasons. However, he did not further disclose any information that pertains to the new villain and the fifth season's contents.
Meanwhile, it was reported that "Supergirl" will be transferring from CBS to CW, joining the fellow TV series based on the popular DC comic book characters. It has been noted that the much-anticipated crossovers within the DC superhero series may finally with "Supergirl" and "Arrow." The first crossover happened in "Supergirl" Season 1 when Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) visited the alternate world of Kara Danvers/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist). However, CW has not yet released a confirmation regarding the rumored appearance of Supergirl in "Arrow," or a cameo role of Green Arrow in "Supergirl."
