Arrow Season 3 Premiere Date And Spoilers: More of The Flash?

Arrow Season 3 premieres on October 8th, and the series is expected to feature more superheroes with "reality based" abilities. So will the reduced screen time for superheroes and their superpowers mean that viewers aren't going to see any more of The Flash? Also where does The Atom fit into season three if there is going to be less superpowers?
According to Screen Rant, Marc Guggenheim one of the executive producers stated that "Season 3 is going to revolve around stories and characters, but is going to revolve real life situations and science". Screen Rant also notes that with The Flash starting as a spin off series, viewers get to see two episodes that function as a crossover between The Flash and Arrow. So that's good news to superhero fans, but there's more.
The Atom, played by series newcomer Brandon Routh of Superman Returns, will also make an apperance in Arrow season three. What's not clear until now is whether The Atom is going to shrink on screen and wear his superhero costume. According to Screen Rant, Brandon Routh has already seen his superhero costume, so we might also get to see him suited as The Atom on screen.
So if you stuck with Arrow, and plan to catch up with season three, you can expect to see more fights featuring the Arrow played by Stephen Amell. According to Screen Rant, he is going to be flexing those muscles in fights against The Flash in the crossover episodes. If we're lucky we might even get to see him deal with the Flash's superhuman speed and reflexes.
Where does that leave the new reality based season three of Arrow, as predicted by Guggenheim? As with any comic book based series, it's safe to say that superheroes and their superpowers are always just around the corner in Arrow.
