Apple Watch release date, specs rumors: Watch will look the same but different specs under the hood?
Apple is said to release the next line of the Apple Watch in 2016; however, there are still many things people don't know about the upcoming smart watch. According to a reliable source, the next generation of Apple Watch will certainly look the same as its predecessor.
KGI Securities analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, said that fans should not expect the device to come out with a different design. However, he said that it will introduce advanced features that were not included in the last model. It will also have major changes in its internal design as report by the Apple Insider.
Basing on the new reports, it appears that Apple will mirror how they handle each of their iPhone releases with the exception of iPhone 6 – same design with different specs under the hood.
When asked about the details of the changes in the upcoming tech watch, the reliable analyst declined to provide more information. However, there are reports suggesting that Apple will add a Face Time camera to the watch, which is said to be capable of doing video calls. According to a report by 9 to 5 Mac last year, the upcoming iteration will have longer battery life, more useful features than the current line, and more versions available. They also noted that it will carry a price from $1,000 to a whopping $10,000. Rumor has it that Apple is pushing the Apple Watch line towards the luxury market.
Meanwhile, there is no release date window provided in the report by the Apple Insider and Kuo; however, many followers of the Cupertino-based company believe that the next model of the Apple Watch will come out at this year's September event. According to reports, it will be launched together with the new iPhone model.
Apple has yet to provide any information with regard to the development of the rumored smart watch, much less talk about its upcoming release.
