Apple Watch 2 vs Asus ZenWatch 3 review, specs, features: how do these watches compare?
The battle is on between the Apple Watch 2 and the Asus ZenWatch 3. Both devices are covetable on their own but which one should consumers go for?
Just by looking at the two products, customers can already tell the biggest difference as they come with contrasting displays. Tech Times detailed that the Asus contender has a circular dial while the Apple challenger comes with a rectangular display.
Apparently, just with that aspect, buyers can already tell what they want to purchase based on their preference for the shape of the display. But if they are going to dig deeper into the specs and features, then that's another story.
The Asus Zenwatch 3's dimension is 1.39 inches and 10.75 millimeters thick. It comes with an AMOLED screen and a resolution of 400 x 400 pixels with a pixel density of 278 ppi. It is also incorporated with Gorilla Glass 3 for screen protection against scratches.
In terms of the memory, Asus detailed that the device features 512 MB of RAM. It runs on the Android Wear operating system and is equipped under the hood with the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100. Storage space is 4 GB eMMC flash and battery capacity is 340 mAh with a quick-charge feature. Colors available include rose gold, silver and gunmetal.
Meanwhile, reports say that there are no details yet regarding the memory and storage capacity. The battery capacity is also not revealed yet but it's said to feature wireless charging. However, Apple divulged that the Apple Watch Series 2 has a built-in GPS and is water resistance up to 50 meters. It also has a lightning fast dual-core processor and runs with watchOS 3.
It's also designed to be perfect company during a workout with its Heart Rate Sensor, Breathe App and Workout App which features 12 indoor and outdoor workouts. It's also compatible with the AirPods for those who prefer a cord-free exercise. Moreover, the Apple Watch 2 also notifies users with messages, phone calls and schedules.
Price-wise, the Asus ZenWatch 3 is a winner with its $299 price tag compared to the $369 price tag of the Apple Watch 2. But in the end, it's all about preference.
