Apple Watch 2 release date, updates, rumors: Nurses hired to enhance Apple Watch's health app features; September 2016 release likely?

There have been very limited details shared on the internet regarding the rumored next generation of Apple Watch. If the latest rumors are correct, Apple is set to release the Apple Watch 2 by September this year alongside the company's other big gadgets such as the iPhone 7. Also, Apple seems to be working closely on the features of the new Apple Watch as latest reports state that the help of real nurses was needed to enhance the health and fitness app capabilities of the current Apple Watch.

According to a Time report, Apple has hired seven full-time nurses that will help the team developing the Apple Watch 2 and its applications to create a more effective health and fitness regimen guide in the Apple Watch application. The same publication noted tech analyst Tim Bajarin stating in a report that Apple also required the participation of their own employees of different sizes, fitness conditions and ethnicities to use their medical monitoring equipment. The equipment will monitor the employees' progress while working on different sports and health lab every 12 hours daily, six days a week. Some parts of the labs also include special chambers to simulate the weather conditions and temperatures outside the room and how these factors affect certain everyday activities.

The tests are needed to improve the sensory and radio aspects and all other technologies used in the current Apple Watch, as well as the iPhone that also has the special healthcare app service.

Meanwhile, it was reported in 9to5Mac that the public may not expect the second generation of Apple Watch to be released until the autumn of 2016. It is expected that the Apple Watch 2 will follow the pattern of the release of the first Apple Watch, which was introduced by Apple to the world in September 2014. Aside from the Apple Watch 2, the much anticipated iPhone 7 is set to be launched within the same period.
