Apple Watch 2 release date, specs news 2016: Launch expected this year as first Apple Watch experiences sales dip

If the latest rumors are anything to go by, Apple may be on its way to releasing the new Apple Watch design this year, as the Cupertino-based tech giant has seen a decline in sales with respect to the company's current smartwatch model.
It was revealed by a known tech spectator and senior research analyst, Jitesh Ubrain that the consumers all over the world have become less interested in purchasing the Apple Watch since early 2016, as reported by Yibada. Fortunately for Apple, in spite of the dip in Apple Watch sales, the company remains on top of the ranking. In fact, Apple is still leading the market with 47 percent share compared to its top competitors like Samsung. The South Korean company's Gear S2 has gone against Apple Watch, but it appears that Apple's smartwatch reigns supreme.
Apple first the Apple Watch to the public in September 2014, and since then the device has captured the interest of many users. There are people who are waiting for the next iteration of the smartwatch, although almost two years have passed and Apple remains quiet to confirm or deny the arrival of Apple Watch 2. Nevertheless, it is highly speculated that the next Apple Watch will be released in September, The Bitbag reported.
Many tech enthusiasts followed the recently concluded Worldwide Developers' Conference (WWDC) 2016, expecting that Apple would finally release Apple Watch 2, or at least give some updates regarding the much-anticipated smartwatch. However, many became disappointed as Apple made no mention of the new Apple Watch design.
Trusted Reviews earlier reported that Apple allegedly submitted two patent applications for the next version of the Apple Watch. Both patents are said to include new additional buttons for the original Apple Watch design, although the most interesting part of the design is the selfie camera. Specifically, Apple is said to incorporate an image sensor to Apple Watch 2, complete with working image lenses and an image storing software. The patent also shows that the camera in the wearable device can be mounted at the front so that the user can capture his own images.
