Apple Watch 2 release date rumors, news: Tech watch is heading for a September launch with iPhone 7?

Apple fanatics were disappointed when the company did not introduce the upcoming Apple Watch 2 at the company event that was held in March 2016. Followers of the company were hoping that they get to finally see a glimpse of what is in store for them on the next model of the tech watch. Nonetheless, the rumors about the upcoming device have continued to increase and latest report suggests that the next iteration will come out in 2017.
If rumors prove to be true, this will be a disappointing year for many Apple fans who are expecting the device to make it in the market this year. Nonetheless, Mac Rumors had previously reported that the Apple Watch 2 could be unveiled and become the highlight of the upcoming Apple event, Worldwide Developers Conference or WWDC 2016, which is set to happen in June.
"Finally, we walked away with the sense that the Apple Watch refresh will not occur in September with the iPhone 7, but is more likely to occur within the next 2-3 months, and thus we believe an unveiling at WWDC in June makes sense," explained Apple analyst Brian White in a report by Mac Rumors. "We believe Apple Watch 2 could be 20-40% thinner than the current Apple Watch."
However, Value Walk reported that an Apple Watch 2 release at the WWDC event is highly unlikely. It makes more sense especially that WWDC is an event where Apple introduces new software products and hardware releases are done on separate occasions.
Meanwhile, fans should not lose hope as rumors are circulating that the company may launch the tech watch in September, along with the rumored iPhone 7, according to Mac World.
As of the moment, Apple's focus remains to be with its latest laptop, the 12-inch MacBook. There are still no official details with regard to the development and the release date of the upcoming Apple Watch 2.
